This module provides guidance to planners on how to prepare effective shoreline assessments for updates to local shoreline management and comprehensive plans. The curriculum guides users through the analytical steps local planners must take in updating shoreline master programs, including using existing information to prepare a baseline shoreline classification and characterization of ecological conditions and shoreline uses, analyzing cumulative impacts, and developing restoration plans.
